Having founded, extensively built, and sold her own successful Allied health clinics, functional fitness gym and hospitality businesses, Lucynda is now a successful investor and university lecturer. She pursues her passion of building and assisting other Occupational Therapists in navigating complex funding schemes, developing clinical skills, and facilitating training programs to enable growth and mastery, to improve clinician’s skill sets and confidence. This drive inspired the creation of Altitude Health Consulting, a platform dedicated to providing guidance and support in this intricate landscape.

 

With Lucynda’s extensive experience and unwavering dedication, she serves as a mentor and clinical supervisor for university students, new graduates, and international Occupational Therapists, nurturing their professional growth and development. Recognized as an AHPRA-accredited clinical supervisor, Lucynda facilitates AHPRA registration approvals, ensuring aspiring professionals receive the necessary guidance and support for success in the Australian healthcare system.

 

Lucynda’s commitment to advancing the field of mental health extends beyond her clinical practice. Currently undertaking Ph.D. research on Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), she is driven to contribute to the understanding and treatment of this complex condition, furthering knowledge and improving outcomes for those affected by this condition, and to better support Occupational Therapists exposed to the complexities of DID in clinical practice.

 

With a versatile entrepreneurial spirit, Lucynda has successfully ventured into various business pursuits. As a co-founder and creator of “Dirty Donut’z,” founder of Thrive On Therapy- allied health clinics, as well as a Franchisee/Owner of Fitstop. She has collaborated with many business owners to build and develop businesses, fostering sustainable growth and wealth creation.

 

Lucynda also serves on the advisory board of directors for various non-profit organisations and sustainable businesses. As a business consultant, university lecturer and mental health specialist, she contributes her expertise to organisations focused on post-veteran and indigenous housing, and mental health initiatives.
